We would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers before, during and after Hurricane Sandy. Ocean City NJ has a special place in all of our hearts and we are happy to say we are recovering. So many people have reached out to us to see how they can help and we appreciate every offer. However there is still much to be done, and your help is needed. Please read through the information below to see how you can help an Ocean City family in need right now:

HOMES FOR RENT/ TEMP DISPLACED HOMEOWNERS
Currently, the City has 150 identified families that have been displaced due to property damage, flooding, power outage or loss of heat. The Ocean City Real Estate Group at Prudential is working with existing second homeowners, our own clients, and property managers of condominium buildings in Ocean City to identify homes, duplexes, and condo units that may be available for temporary rent for these families. Most of our clients are existing Ocean City homeowners with families who need a place to stay while their own homes are being repaired. In addition, the City of Ocean City along with C.A.R.E is assisting others with housing needs as well.
The duration of a short-term rental may range from one week, one month, or a few winter months (winter rental). Many of these families are active members of our Ocean City Community, have children in our school system, and are in desperate need of residence while their homes are being repaired or rebuilt. Some are also seniors who have lost everything and have nowhere to go.
Please share with us your thoughts and ideas on how to help, as they are welcome and much appreciated.
If you have an Ocean City property, or know someone who has a home/condo and is either willing to donate its rental, or rent for a fee to these families, Please Contact Us Directly or
CALL US NOW at (609) 513-1126.

The Ocean City community organizations, along with the City and Chamber, have created an organization called OCNJ C.A.R.E. (Cleanup And Recovery Effort) Project. This will be the central location for information, to volunteer, donate and request help. The website and toll free number should be up and running early next week and in effort to provide information the Chamber has launched the OCNJ CARE facebook page.
